Katy was born and raised in Hampshire, England where she still lives. In 2021, Katy and her husband, C.R. Berry, purchased a vacant house and spent several months restoring and redecorating. Their home became The Gathered Worlds, with many themed rooms including a forest living room, 50s diner kitchen and spaceship bedroom.

Katy has been reading and writing from a young age, particularly sci-fi, fantasy, crime and horror. She is an alumnus of the University of Winchester, where she studied creative writing & journalism and was a member of the Student Writers’ Group.

In her day job, Katy is employed by a small, family-owned accountancy practice where they work almost exclusively with not-for-profit organisations. She recently attained a distinction in her qualification with the Association of Accounting Technicians.

During her spare time, Katy is an all-round nerd with interests in varied fandoms including Star Trek, LOTR, Supernatural, Star Wars and many more. She has attended many film and comic cons, including Portsmouth Comic Con in 2024 when she and C.R. Berry took their infant son for the first time.
